Matt volunteered to work on this documentary because of his kinship with Japan. Originally intending to consult on this film, Matt ended up as co-producer. He also contributed the wealth of the music for its soundtrack.In addition, Matt mixed the film at his private studio in Los Angeles.

Over the years, Matt has spent a large amount of time in Japan, including Kyoto and Tokyo and has amassed hours of uniquely-Japanese recordings which has proven invaluable to the sound of this film.
